Battalion Chief Cliff Bramlette ROP Teacher of the Year!
On Friday, October 25, 2013, Cliff Bramlette was one of 56 instructors honored as the 2014 Orange County Teachers of the Year.
With the theme “Teachers Rock!”, the 56 nominees and their 504 guests were treated to a recognition dinner and awards ceremony at the Disneyland Resort Hotel. Coordinated by the Orange County Department of Education, the awards celebrate “the exemplary inspiration, dedication, and professionalism of our 2014 Orange County Teachers of the Year.” Each honored teacher supplied a personal quote that was read while receiving their award. In his quote Cliff states “Your brain is the most phenomenal organ on the planet. It carries out all of your bodily functions without your input, it has the ability to recall the past, and make critical decisions that affect your future while simultaneously processing new information every second of the day. Do not underestimate the brain; its abilities are unlimited, except for one thing…the limitations you, yourself, put on it.”
Cliff is currently a Battalion Chief with the Orange County Fire Authority and teaches the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) class to both high school and adult students on the South Coast ROP main campus. He has been an ROP instructor for 24 years, and began his career path at South Coast ROP as a high school student studying EMT.
